A LOT happens in a year, most of which I will not bore you with. I do, however, want to highlight some BIG moments in our lives over the past year. I do hope to keep up more regularly as things change and happen so fast and by request of my sister who has encouraged me to post again so she and my brother-in-law can keep up from the other side of the continent.
I last wrote (September 2012) sharing news of our expected third child and a move to a house down the street. Unfortunately, morning sickness hit hard the week of the big move and stayed around for several months. Thankful for Zofran! That same week my computer died.... The day we moved ended up being the Augusta Half Iron Man, and wouldn't you know not only did it rain but the runners ran by our house twice, completely shutting our street down and several others around us from early morning until about 5:00pm. My father-in-law tried moving some furniture down the side walk with a hand truck and Caileigh and I loaded a wagon. We didn't get much done that day. :-( We did enjoy cheering on hundreds of runners with neighbors though!
We eventually did get moved in and thanks to many friends who helped watch our girls so I could get rooms set up and boxes put away. We quickly fell in love with our new yard and spent many hours playing, reading books and eating picnics on blankets in the outdoors.

Loving their new room! |
We celebrated Emma's 2nd Birthday. Instead of a party we went as a family to the zoo. It was such a fun day and her favorite animal was the Elephants. We did celebrate with grandparents when they were able to come in to town. The girls and I took all their animal toys and created our own zoo exhibits around the house one day. They really had fun with that!

LOVE that smile! |
October, we enjoyed playing dress up. We went to a Harvest party at the library with all our little story time buddies. We also enjoyed the trunk or treat event for our neighborhood that Hope for Augusta partnered with Christ Community Health Services. Caileigh went as Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Emma was Minnie Mouse. They had so much fun playing games and seeing many friends dressed up too!
November, we enjoyed family time over the holidays. We spent Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family. The girls love playing with my two little cousins. Stephen's Aunt Kim found out she had a brain tumor right before Thanksgiving and did not feel well at all, but it was good to be able to gather together as a family and to let her know we were all with her and praying for her. We also were able to visit Stephen's grandfather who does not live too far from Carrollton.

Girls with my cousins |
December, was another month of much enjoyed family time. My parents and baby sister, Katie came and spent Christmas Eve with us and then joined us for Christmas Day brunch. We drove to Stephen's brother, Jason and his family's home in Columbia, SC for Christmas Day dinner and celebrations with the Pittman side. We had so much fun we even stayed a day longer than we had planned! Stephen's parents were brave and kept all 6 grandkids so we could have kidless time together with Jason and Lori - so fun!
After Christmas we found out we were expecting our first BOY!!! Caileigh was right - she had said all along she was going to have a brother. We were all excited. The morning sickness this time was by far the worse of the pregnancies and it probably didn't help trying to keep up with three little ones but thankfully it was starting to let up and there were no complications as there were with my pregnancy with Emma.
January 2013, life seemed to settle down a bit. The business of the holidays were over and for the most part our home was unpacked and starting to feel like a home. I also was regaining energy so the girls and I started to get out more regularly. We enjoyed story time at the library and attending Kroc Tots, a Preschool/Toddler hour at a local gym.
February, was a hard month. Stephen's Aunt Kim was not doing well at all, neither was his Papa (Kim's dad). Stephen traveled a couple times to Carrollton to be with family.
Our sweet little friend that I nannied during the days, turned one and we enjoyed celebrating her life!
March was even harder. Aunt Kim went home to be with the Lord and was joined two weeks later by her dad, Papa B. A great comfort for the family is knowing that she no longer is in pain and that Papa B now remembers his daughter Kim and they are together with our heavenly Father.

This girl played soccer for the first time. |

She loved it and we were so proud of her sticking with it each week! |

Caileigh's biggest fan! |
The end of March also was the end of our time with our sweet little friend on a day to day basis. We are thankful for the time we had with her and her parents and even more so that we are neighbors and still get to see them from time to time.
